Five Days, Three Rolls
Jen Ng
Sometimes the best work happens when you stop taking things so seriously and just let the environment dictate the frame. Facing five straight days of relentless rain in Tokyo, I decided to leave structured plans behind. Armed with three rolls of modest 200 ASA film, I set out purely to experiment—handling a physical juggle of keeping an umbrella upright against sudden wind gusts in one hand, while using the other to zone focus my Konica Hexar RF wide-open at f/1.4 in the dark.
